يا أرض العراقِ، يا دجلة والفراتِ
يا مهد الحضاراتِ، يا أرضَ العِبراتِ

من بين رمالكَ التاريخُ ينبثقُ
ويروي حكاياتٍ، تُسحرُ وتُفَتِقُ

بابِلٌ وبغدادُ، شهدتا عهوداً
من ملكٍ وجلالٍ، وعمرانٍ ومُجوداً

شعراءُ وفلاسفةٌ، أبدعوا وأضاءوا
علماً ونوراً، للدنيا أضاءوا

لكنَّ جراحاً، في صدرِكَ عميقةُ
حروبٌ وويلٌ، أوجعتكَ شديدَةُ

يا أهلَ العراقِ، قومٌ كرامُ
رغمَ ما أصابكم، لم تَنهاروا تماماً

قلبٌ نبضُهُ الشجاعةُ والأملُ
والإرادةُ قويةٌ، لا تُقهرُ ولا تُقْهَرُ

سنبني مستقبلاً، أجملَ وأبهى
يُعانقُ السماءَ، نبعُ الحياةِ فيهِ سَهْلاً

يا عراقُ، سنعودُ، لنعمرَ بلادَنا
ونُحييَ تاريخَنا، ونرفعَ راياتنا

ترجمة :

O land of Iraq, O Tigris and Euphrates,
O cradle of civilizations, O land of sighs.

From within your sands, history emerges,
And tells tales that enchant and unravel.

Babylon and Baghdad, witnessed eras
Of kingship and glory, of prosperity and generosity.

Poets and philosophers, excelled and illuminated,
With knowledge and light, they illuminated the world.

But wounds, deep in your chest,
Wars and woes, have hurt you severely.

O people of Iraq, noble people,
Despite what has befallen you, you have not completely collapsed.

A heart whose beat is courage and hope,
And a strong will, that is not conquered nor can be conquered.

We will build a future, more beautiful and splendid,
That embraces the sky, a source of life therein easily flows.

O Iraq, we will return, to rebuild our country,
And revive our history, and raise our flags.
