Altair Activate is a licensing system used by Altair Engineering for its suite of simulation and design software products. The Windows version of Altair Activate is simply the application that runs on a Windows operating system to manage and access those licenses. It[SQ]s not a software application itself that does any design or simulation work; rather, it[SQ]s the key to *unlocking* and *managing* access to Altair[SQ]s various software packages, such as HyperWorks, OptiStruct, Radioss, and many others.

In essence, Altair Activate on Windows acts as a license manager. Users install it on their Windows machines, then use it to :
