Google Drive Backup and Sync (now deprecated) was a Google application for Windows (and macOS) that allowed users to :

Backup files from their computer to Google Drive:

Users could select specific folders on their computer (like Documents, Pictures, etc.) to be automatically backed up to their Google Drive cloud storage. This ensured they had copies of important files safe and accessible online.

Sync Google Drive files to their computer:

It also worked in the opposite direction. Files and folders stored in Google Drive would be automatically synced to a designated folder on the user[SQ]s computer. Changes made on either the computer or in Google Drive would be reflected on both.

Essentially, it combined file backup and two-way file synchronization into a single application.

Important Note:

Google Drive Backup and Sync is no longer supported. It was replaced by the Google Drive desktop application, which offers similar functionality but with a more streamlined and integrated approach. If you[SQ]re using Backup and Sync, you should upgrade to the current Google Drive application.
