ContentBarrier for Mac is a discontinued parental control and content filtering application. It was developed by a company called Intego. While no longer sold or supported, some users may still have it installed on older Macs.
ContentBarrier[SQ]s main function was to block access to inappropriate websites and applications based on user-defined rules and categories. This included filtering by keywords, website URLs, and application names. It could also monitor and log online activity. In essence, it acted as a firewall for potentially harmful online content. However, because it[SQ]s no longer supported, its security and effectiveness are questionable in today[SQ]s online environment. Using outdated security software is strongly discouraged.
